George Whitesides is in the news mainly because his congressional race is still unsettled. Early returns showed Jason Gibbs ahead in California’s 27th Congressional District, but ballots were still being counted and no final result had been certified. Separately, Whitesides has been highlighting constituent services in the district and promoting anti-scam legislation focused on fraud prevention and victim support. He also appeared among the California winners backed by crypto-aligned super PAC spending in the June primaries.
