Supports expanding and extending tax credits for families and health care (including the Child Tax Credit and ACA premium tax credits), backs targeted tax relief and credits for small businesses, and opposes large tax cuts for billionaires in favor of protecting social programs. Prioritizes using tax policy to lower costs for working families and to prevent tax giveaways to the very wealthy.
Supports the Affordable Care Act and actions to make health coverage more affordable and protect Medicaid/Medi‑Cal; opposes GOP repeal efforts and has voted to extend ACA tax credits to lower costs.
Supports expanded legal pathways and protections for Dreamers and other vulnerable immigrants while calling for accountability and reforms to immigration enforcement; has criticized the Remain in Mexico policy and ICE/DHS practices and advocated for measures to expand legal immigration pathways and reduce backlogs.
