Val Hoyle won her party’s primary in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District and is headed to the November general election. Early results point to a rematch with Republican Monique DeSpain, with the race still expected to be competitive even though the district is generally seen as safely Democratic. Ahead of the primary, Hoyle also reported stronger fundraising than DeSpain, giving her an early financial edge.
