Himes’ Democratic nominee odds rose from 4% to 4% in the last 24 hours, and CTInsider reports he won 98.3% of district convention delegates while Joseph Perez-Caputo took 1.7%. That combination makes the market repricing look well-supported and leaves little room for an upset before the August primary.
The biggest new development is in Connecticut’s 3rd District, where a party panel upheld Rosa DeLauro’s convention win and dismissed Andrew Rice’s challenge. Rice is still pursuing ballot access by petition. The update does not directly affect the CT-04 Democratic nomination race. This is a positive sign for DeLauro in the nearby CT-03 nomination fight, but it does not directly change this CT-04 market. Overall, the impact here looks limited and mostly unchanged.
