Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek is running for a second term and faces nine other Democrats in the May 19 primary, with a large fundraising advantage over the rest of the field. On the Republican side, Christine Drazan is running again and is one of several candidates competing in a crowded primary, with the leading contenders already debating as ballots near mailing. Kotek’s fundraising edge and frontrunner status could support expectations of a Democratic nominee positioned for the general election.
