Notable personal detailsJonathan "Jon" Patterson is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives from District 30 (Jackson County, including parts of Lee’s Summit) and has served as Speaker of the Missouri House. He is a general surgeon who practiced in eastern Jackson County from 2011 to 2022. Patterson graduated from Blue Springs High School (1998) and attended the University of Missouri–Columbia, earning a bachelor’s degree and a medical degree, and completed a surgical residency at Truman Medical. He filed to run for Missouri State Senate District 8 in 2026.
