Notable personal detailsTony Evers is an American politician and educator who has served as the 46th governor of Wisconsin since 2019. Before becoming governor, he was Wisconsin’s state superintendent of public instruction, elected statewide in 2009 and reelected in 2013 and 2017. He worked as a public school teacher and education administrator and later held leadership roles in Wisconsin’s public education system. Evers earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
