Utah Democrats have backed Liban Mohamed as the front-runner in the redrawn 1st District nomination race. He still faces Ben McAdams, Nate Blouin and Michael Farrell in the June 23 primary. Blouin’s resurfaced posts have also created fresh backlash ahead of the contest. Mohamed’s convention support appears to strengthen his position in the nomination race, though the primary is still contested. The backlash around Blouin may slightly weaken his chances and add some uncertainty.
