The main new development is a Democratic primary challenge to Gov. Ned Lamont from state Rep. Josh Elliott. Lamont still looks favored after winning 75% of the convention vote, but Elliott has qualified for the ballot and public financing. This is the first primary challenge to a Connecticut governor since 1978. These updates mainly affect the Democratic side of the race and add some primary uncertainty.
