Toby Doeden led the June 2 Republican primary, but he did not clear the 35% threshold needed to win the nomination outright. Gov. Larry Rhoden also advanced, sending the race to a July 28 runoff. The result leaves the GOP nomination undecided for now. The primary result keeps the nomination race open and raises uncertainty.
