Democrat Randy Villegas has advanced to the November ballot in a California congressional district that was redrawn to favor Democrats. The Central Valley’s 22nd District seat has been held by Rep. David Valadao, considered one of the most vulnerable House Republicans this year. Valadao is one of only two remaining House Republicans who voted to impeach President Donald Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
